Verdict
With his stable in form now, Jadalee gets the call here ahead of Is It Me, Darusso, Sweet Boulangere and Fredricksburg. The Marcus Tregoning-trained selection showed improved form from his debut to finish second at Salisbury last time in what looked a stronger event than this contest. As such, he holds clear claims here. Mind you, so does Is It Me, who found all bar Gracechurch too good over course and distance last time, while Fredricksburg is better than his unplaced Salisbury effort last time might suggest as he did not get the best of runs. His stable is in form too. That said, Darusso was well ahead of him in that race and is also entitled to respect. Sweet Boulangere has run to a level of form in her second- and third-last starts that should make her competitive today, and she was unplaced in a valuable sales race last time, while Marc Of Brilliance has the ability to run a good race, although the first-time headgear gives some ideas on his outlook on life too. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Jadalee.
