Verdict

SHRAPNEL has run so many good races in bumpers and over hurdles that it's hard to believe he only has a success between the flags to his credit. A couple of late mistakes put paid to his chances at Killarney last time but he was still only a head behind Dark Raven and this should be his day. Civena will be no pushover as this point-to-point winner was tapped for pace over 2m5f on fast ground at Tramore last time and tonight's condition should prove ideal. Maggie Sue won just once in 15 point-to-point starts but returned to hurdling with a very good run behind Tango Moll at Gowran a couple of weeks ago. Zadarska hasn't shown much in bumpers but his dam was a staying hurdler so jumping is likely to be his game.
