In depth
Verdict
Very few of the newcomers make much appeal on breeding so this is probably best left to those with experience and the well drawn Beauty of Dreams gets the vote over Flying Bantam and Jerome, who have been done few favours with draws in stalls three and one respectively. A high draw is a huge advantage at Beverley over the minimum trip and, having been drawn in box 12 of the 16 runners, Beauty of Dreams could hardly be better berthed. Mick Channon's filly has shown a consistent level of form in all three starts over six furlongs and should not be inconvenienced by the drop to this stiff five. Neville Callaghan's Savitsky has similar claims to the selection on the formbook and rates the main danger from stall seven. Of the newcomers, Two of Clubs and Mrs Spence make most appeal as they are drawn next to the fence in stalls 16 and 15 respectively but either will need to be above average to get the better of Beauty of Dreams.
