Verdict
The booking of Adam Kirby for Out After Dark looks to be a good move and the four-year-old is expected to take the beating today. Trojan Flight, Baron Rhodes and Bonne De Fleur are others to have a look at, while Rising Shadow has place claims on the bets of his form. The last named put in a solid effort at Pontefract last month and looks sure to pay his way this term if he continues to thrive. However, he has been done no favours by today's draw and need everything to drop just right for him. So does Bonne De Fleur, who shaped as if she was on the way back at Redcar nine days ago. She is 1lb better off with Baron Rhodes, who finished in front of her that day, and is also capable of going close. Trojan Flight cannot be ruled out in his current frame of mind. However, he also has it to do from stall four and others may have flown by the time he gets into the clear. Therefore, we go with Out After Dark, who has the early dash gain a prominent position and his skilful rider's claim can be a decisive factor when push comes to shove.
