    Verdict

The Slider, Landown, and Moist are the three for the shortlist here and preference is for The Slider to lead them home. Lansdown has been second twice at Redcar on fast ground in sim8ilar affairs, and although clearly having her limitations she must have a chance in a wide open affair. Moist went down by two and a half lengths to Feisty at Wolverhampton last time and the winner has gone in again since so the form looks solid. That was Neville Callaghan's filly's fourth start however and she may not have the same scope for improvement as the fourth home The Slider. The filly was doing her best work at the finish on that occasion and breeding suggests she will appreciate further in time. This stiff uphill finish will suit her well and normal improvement can see The Slider claim the opener.
