          Verdict

          GREEN POPPY runs under penalty after a really good performance to win at Redcar last time but should have enough to beat Dispol Kylie and last time out winner Ryedane. The selection scored for the first time last month when beating Fortezza by three-and-a-half lengths and considering that was the first time we have seen Bryan Smart's filly this year she certainly shows a lot of promise. With potentially more to come after that run we think she can go on to record back-to-back victories. Bryan Smart has a respectable record at Beverley so this confirms our opinion on this race. Ryedane beat Hansomis by a neck to record a win to break his poor form since scoring around the same time last year at Carlisle. It may be difficult for Tim Easterby's gelding to double up here given the opposition and we oppose him today. Dispol Kylie should be suited by the trip but the weights are not in her favour here and it would take something special to challenge. Green Poppy ticks our box in this contest.
