GHALAA came up against a Sir Michael Stoute hotpot on her debut here last month, going down narrowly to the long odds-on Croquemouche. She was travelling like the winner for most of the way but was run out of it close home and will know much more about what's required this time. Zavier represents Godolphin and though never really getting involved on his debut at Ascot, there's probably much more to come and he is one for the notebook. Ventura Spirit made an encouraging debut over 6f at York and was expected to do better on his next start over an extra furlong on the Knavesmire but couldn't go the pace. This stiff climb should aid his cause and he can do better. The remainder will need to do much better than they have shown to date to get involved.
