In depth

Verdict

Making Music, Kings College Boy and Lake Chini look the three to concentrate on in this handicap and the narrow vote is given to Making Music. The selection has won her last two races in good style notably when beating Briery Lane last time out. Granted she is rising in the weights but she looks progressive and is taken to win again. Kings College Boy rates the main danger as he has won off a much higher mark in the past and he was unlucky in running behind Pic Up Sticks last time. However the draw could have been kinder. Lake Chini is another that could go well on his latest second behind the selection but although he is better off at the weights he still has a little to find. Hotham was well backed and had no luck in running when third behind Kings Collage Boy so he is another that could go well. Of the remainder Henry Hall has conditions to suit but his better efforts of late have come on a flatter track and with this in mind for the winner we return to Making Music.
