Verdict

Kingscroft has been a revelation since racing on Polytrack and has won four times since the turn of the year. There's no reason why he shouldn't be as effective on turf but Mark Johnston has a better chance with CROWN COUNSEL, who looked very progressive when landing what appeared a strong maiden at Ripon last week. This is tougher but with fitness on his side he can get the better of Orientalist, a winner at York and Sandown in late summer and probably unsuited by softer ground in subsequent starts. Belle Royale completed a hat-trick of 6f victories in August and took on much better company later while Common Touch made a winning debut at York in July and is 5lb better off for the two lengths he was beaten by Orientalist back there in September. Nasharra made a winning debut at Leicester in May but he's 16lb higher than when landing a Hamiliton nursery in July.
