      Verdict

Beyond The Clouds, a dual bumper winner, looked a cracking hurdling prospect when completing a hat-trick before well beaten in last year's Scottish Champion Hurdle. Something may have gone amiss as he hasn't run subsequently so it's intriguing to see him here. Ironclad didn't show much in his two runs last season but has obviously improved and ran very well to chase home Durrell in what looked a hot Chelmford maiden. There should be more to come and he can see off Sincerity, who didn't appear to be enjoying soft ground at Carlisle, but MADEEH could be a different proposition. Sir Michael Stoute's Oasis Dream colt got outpaced in mid-race over a mile at Yarmouth but was staying on again at the finish and will appreciate the longer trip.
