Verdict
David O'Meara takes on four of the top Newmarket yards with the newcomer Sunrize, who would need to be useful to make a successful start. Chippenham has been steadily improving and was in the lead at this trip when just headed over 1m3f at Kempton. Amlad finished a close fourth on his final juvenile start at Newmarket in August and was well supported on his comeback at Kempton early this month where he looked like winning over that 1m2f until caught close home. Sir Michael Stoute has always liked sending horses here and SABLE ISLAND showed enough in his first campaign to suggest he'll do well this season so gets the nod. Luca Cumani wouldn't be a regular here so the presence of the filly Pleasant Surprise on her debut looks significant.
