Baylaw Star holds solid claims on the evidence of his latest success here last month but Kevin Ryan's gelding has been done few favours with a draw in stall three and preference is for the hat-trick seeking Passion Fruit, who gets the vote ahead of Zanjeer. The selection has been raised 8lbs for his latest victory in a Newcastle handicap at the beginning of the month but Chris Fairhurst's filly scored with plenty in hand that day and, from a draw in stall 14, she may well be able to win again. Richard Fahey's Able Charlie has been given a chance by the handicapper and cannot be ruled out from stall 13, while the booking of Jamie Spencer for Sir Bond takes the eye but a draw in the number two box leaves Bryan Smart's gelding with plenty of running to do. Willie Muir's Trappeto receives weight all round and is probably less exposed than most so cannot be discounted, while a market move for Ask The Clerk would be of interest. Zanjeer has shown improved form of late and has to be considered but Passion Fruit is in good heart right now and is taken to make it three from three.
