Verdict
Heathyards Joy will be popular after his latest second at Wolverhampton but the handicapper has taken note and Reg Hollinshead's filly looks worth taking on with preference for Cottam Grange over Gallas. The last mentioned has claims on the pick of his form but that has all been over shorter so he may be best watched over this stiff 1m2f. Abstract Folly ran better back over a mile at Pontefract last time and should not mind the return to further, while Saif Sareea has slipped to a fair mark and cannot be discounted in a particularly soft contest. Alcott is less exposed than most but faces no easy task on recent evidence, while Airedale Lad has yet to prove his effectiveness over this trip. A chance then is taken with Cottam Grange, who has been given a chance by the handicapper and could be interesting dropping back in trip.
