Verdict
The step up in trip should suit PAPER DREAMS, who is taken to score here from Dark Dune and Ozzies Storm Cats. The selection has had a couple of nice introductory runs over what was probably an inadequate 6f. She goes well on fast ground and pedigree suggests that this step up in trip will be ideal, so we will give her the nod. Dark Dune represents the in-form Tim Easterby yard and is surely better than he was able to show at Newcastle last time, when last of his group and beating only one home. Instead of reverting to 5f his trainer steps him up to further this time and the jury is out as to whether he will get home. Ozzies Storm Cats is nicely related to a top-class winner from 6-9f at two and three years old in America and would have to be a leading player if straight enough on debut, while Beyeh is saddled by Clive Brittain, who has had juvenile winners at the track on his rare previous raids here. Paper Dreams can take advantage of this step up in trip.
