Verdict

Unless there is significant support for either of the newcomers, and both Slinky Malinki and Majic Mojo have points of interest in their pedigrees, it looks more likely that this maiden will rest between EZRA CHURCH and Ajool and we will side with the former. David Barron's charge has already had four chances and he has run with credit in all of those defeats, going closest to winning on fast ground over 6f at Redcar last month. He is also fully effective over a mile and he sets the standard. Ajool has not shown as much on the track as our pick just yet, and she is worth another try over a mile or so, but she needs to improve to get off the mark. Roydmore was well beaten here on debut, but marked improvement would be no surprise, while Cayo appears likely to go handicapping after today's race and Ezra Church is the one for us.
