A wide-open handicap here and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the main protagonists look to be Magdalene, Apache Point and Chasing Memories and the tentative vote is given to Magdalene. The selection was a fair second behind Dee Jay Wells last time out over course and distance. He still has cope for improvement and with the booking of Seb Sanders catching the eye he looks a value bet. Apache Point rates the main danger on his latest second behind Top Dirham. That horse has since ran well under his penalty and he will not be far away. Chasing Memories is another that could go well on his latest third but he was behind the selection on that occasion and on the same terms here there is no reason why he should gain his revenge. Apache Nation is game and consistent and is sure to run his race under conditions that suit but he now looks in the handicappers grip. Of the remainder Penel has yet to win on turf while Scotty's Future could go well at a price if on a going day but that is a big if, and for the winner we return to Magdelene who at least has scope for improvement.
