Verdict
Another wide open contest here with many consistent old timers in the field including Rudi's Pet and Henry Hall and Bond Becks and we will take a chance on Bond Becks. The gelding from the bang in form Bryan Smart yard was a fair fifth behind The Trader last time out when My American Beauty was third but the drop back to the minimum trip is sure to suit Bond Becks more than My American Beauty. Rudi's Pet won a claimer in good style last time out but this looks tougher and he would not want to much rain. Smart Predator is another that could go well but he ran as if in the handicappers grip when well beaten in there Portland handicap last time out. Of the remainder Henry Hall is a game and consistent sort but he has a bad draw to overcome so we are happy to side with Bond Becks.
