        Verdict

        Not a race that will take much winning and Anticipating gets the vote with Glencoyle and Macaroni Gold the chief dangers. Andrew Balding's Anticipating is a well bred colt who showed promise on his sole juvenile start last year and again on his recent comeback when third behind a useful yardstick at Thirsk earlier this month. Sure to be sharper for the outing, this race looks within his compass before tackling handicaps. Macaroni Gold and Glencoyle are others who are entitled to improve on what they have achieved to date while Loyal offered little in two starts last year but can be expected to shine over this trip and should be noted in the exchanges.
