        Verdict

        This can safely be left to southern raider Thaqib, who has finished runner-up in both outings this term. The John Dunlop runner should be well suited by this stiffer track and should hold too many guns for his rivals. Biddy has shown little to date, but this faster ground may bring about some improvement. Stonegrave caught the eye last time at Southwell and is capable of better than he has shown so far, although his future looks to lie in handicaps. Chorist should do better as a three-year-old, while Colonial Sunrise may find a few of these too sharp over this trip.
