Verdict
Mark Johnston has a strong hand here. Aardwolf scored twice in mid-summer and wasn't disgraced in much stronger company later. He's the type to do well this campaign though the presence of Joe Fanning on board Kodiac Khan suggests he's the stable pick as he rode him to victory on his latest start at Lingfield in December. Starlight Romance was never beaten far in five starts and makes her handicap debut from what could prove a lenient mark though the same could be said of WELOOF. Ed Dunlop's charge reappeared with a very convincing victory at Wolverhampton and looks the type to go on to better things. Fayez made a successful debut at Ripon and didn't perform badly later so there's no reason why he shouldn't get competitive.
