      Verdict

      SEA FLAWLESS, a winner at Newcastle over this trip, was beaten four lengths when tackling 1m4f at Lingfield but the winner won by 10 lengths on his next start. Liseo's close second at Doncaster in June was a smart piece of form though he ran poorly at Chelmsford the following month. Auld Toon Loon will be sharper for his run at Redcar, where he led 2f out, while Umax was only beaten half-a-length at Kempton in February, his first start since August 2021. Evident, who cost $320,000 at the 2020 Keeneland Yearling Sales, makes a belated debut.
