      Verdict

PAPA RICCO (NAP) stepped up to this trip for the first time at Nottingham and stayed on strongly after leading inside the final furlong. Today's stiffer finish can see him complete a double and he should again have the better of fourth-placed Crosstitch. Cantora's two victories in the autumn came on heavy going so he wouldn't want the ground to dry out while Mickey Mongoose weakened quickly after leading for much of the way.when starting favourite on his reappearance over a mile at Lingfield.
