Verdict

Joanna Mason won this last year and her mount Palindrome is only 1lb higher than his victory at Carlisle last month. Whatever Serena Brotherton rides is respected though the veteran Outlaw Torn proved better on the all-weather tracks over the winter. Excalibur's Flat form figures are on heavy ground in Poland and he's been well beaten in all starts over hurdles but DOSE arrives in top form having won two of her last four including over the track and trip on good ground in April. She's handed the vote as though Barnaby Brook is a massive 20lb lower than his all-weather figures he's become a specialist on Tapeta at Wolverhampton as emphasised by an 8l victory in a seller on his first start for Donald McCain there last month. Breathable could provide the main threat as he ran his best race to date when beaten a neck in a Pontefract maiden handicap though could have done without a 3lb rise.
