Verdict

DAILY TIMES, beaten a neck at Kempton then just under a length in a strong Newmarket maiden, is likely to start a short-priced favourite and will take all the beating. Belle Anglaise was a 25/1 chance on her debut at Windsor but belied her odds with a promising run, staying on nicely over that 6f. Queen Salamah also made an encouraging start at Windsor and something must have been amiss when she finished last on a return visit. Baracca Rocks didn't show much on her debut on soft ground at Nottingham but wouldn't be travelling from North Yorkshire without hope.
