      Verdict

      VILNIUS will have been suited if any rain gets into the ground and is selected ahead of Best One and The Jailer. The last named won a similar race at Chepstow on his reappearance, so holds claims on that sort of form. However, he has been struggling off this mark lately, so he does have a bit to prove from top weight. Mind you a rating of just 56 underlines the lack of quality amongst the opposition. Best One knows his way around here and, having won on his last visit to Brighton; he cannot be ruled out from just a 3lb higher mark. However, Vilnius is an ultra-game filly that stands plenty of racing and, more crucially; handles most types of ground - especially those likely to prevail if the Met Office perditions are correct.
