Verdict

After some consistent efforts, Analyze deserves to get his head in front but Mick Channon's gelding seems to still be a shade high in the weights at present and may again have to settle for a minor role with Factual Lad taken to confirm Folkestone running with Archirondel. The selection beat John Berry's gelding by four lengths last time and should do so again on 6lb worse terms. Willoughby's Boy is difficult to win with and often flatters in his races but has to be respected on his best form, while Royal Approval cannot be entirely dismissed with John Dunlop's horses coming back into form. Tight Squeeze needs more assistance from the handicapper before she can be backed with any confidence and a bigger threat may be the lightweight Martin's Sunset, who is only 3lbs higher than when scoring over course and distance last time. However, Factual Lad holds solid claims and gets the vote to follow up his Folkestone success.
