    Verdict

Archimento won an apprentices’ race over 1m2f here a week ago and escapes a penalty but Esspeegee has been upped 4lb for winning at Newcastle. Several have been threatening to get their heads in front with Iballisticvin running well over 1m4f at Lingfield and Amuletum going close over 1m3f at Windsor recently. But AMANTO was beaten less than a length over today’s trip on the all-weather last month and he gets a speculative vote in a wide-open contest.
