    In depth

    Verdict

FUTURE PROOF was well supported on his debut in testing conditions over a mile at Leopardstown and was always travelling well before asserting close home. The longer trip will be in his favour and he can remain unbeaten. Escamillo easily won a Navan maiden on heavy going in October but finished a long way last of three on his reappearance at Cork. Burgundy Boy won a 7f maiden here in July and his subsequent three runs have been in Group 3 company. He was having his first start for Dermot Weld at Leopardstown last month and is expected to improve. Valdus never got going over a mile at Navan but stayed on nicely and is certain to have benefited from the run while Boho is bred for middle-distances and is one for the future.
