In depth
Verdict
DIAMOND GUY had to be ridden out to hold off previous winner Shoal Bay at Wincanton but will be a short price to follow up here under a penalty as he looks a progressive novice and is the type to run up a sequence in the coming months. Djarkevi produced a better effort last month at Market Rasen and the second in that race has gone close again since. Baby Ted is a half-brother to three winning jumpers, including Grade 2 hurdler Colin’s Sister, but he didn’t show much at Bangor in March and may need further than this.
