In depth

Verdict

Swift Bounty has been holding his own in this grade but has rarely looked like winning unlike SACRED SQUARE, who was only beaten a head at Leicester two runs ago. Though slightly disappointing when a hot favourite at Chepstow subsequently, William Haggas' colt is probably worth another chance and shouldn't have a problem with the longer trip. Mizyen wasn't beaten far over track and trip last month and is still on a decent mark but Ocean Applause has reverted to type in his last two starts and there is no evidence that he stays this far. But Saint Jerome is worth a try over the extra quarter-mile and wasn't disgraced in a decent race at York after winning at Chepstow.
