Verdict
Wynberg, Baytown Blaze and Swindon Town Flyer are the three to concentrate upon and we are with Wynberg. The gelding looks to have improved immeasurably over the winter on the all-weather and while it is always dangerous to equate all-weather form on to the grass, Simon Callaghan should have a fair idea as to where he stands. Baytown Blaze is always dangerous if securing a soft lead. He can tend to go off a little too quickly for his own good. Swindon Town Flyer won a poor claimer at Folkestone earlier in the season. He is quirky but seems to act for the application of headgear. Magical Speedfit was hammered by the handicapper for a couple of decent efforts earlier in his career and connections are fast running out of options. Ben is likely to be held up this afternoon. Sandy Par and Only In Jest require something of a leap of faith to win this. Wynberg is somewhat unproven on the turf but as a progressive individual he has more going for him than most.
