In depth

Verdict

A chance is taken with Piccostar, who can reverse recent form with Lucayos, while Sarah's Art and Three Feathers are others that can go close. Three Feathers is unexposed on turf and, although he needs to improve, it will be noteworthy to see how the betting market reacts where he is concerned. Sarah's Art has been in good form this term and can be relied upon to run his race. He has gone well since being fitted with blinkers and will be in the thick of the action if running anywhere near his best. Lucayos is versatile regarding his ground and acts well for Richard Kingscote. However, he faces a stiff test on the revised terms and needs everything to fall into place for him. However, Piccostar is also a consistent enough type for a race like this and, as he is on 6lb better terms than the last time he met Lycayos, Andrew Haynes' charge rates as a better option than the top weight on this occasion.
