Verdict
Inch By Inch is preferred to Sweet Pickle and Ivory Lace. Inch By Inch won well at Lingfield on his latest start and provided that the rain stays away, he should be good enough to win here. Close up in a recent handicap at the track, he does have a modest draw to overcome but should have enough early pace to be handy. Sweet Pickle won over seven furlongs at Epsom and is substantially dropped in trip. George Baker looks an interesting booking. Ivory Lace invariably looks like winning races but is difficult to catch right. She looked a little unlucky on her latest start and should not be underestimated. Buy On The Red is respected as a course and distance winner but has it to do on recent form. Summer Recluse is from a stable in resurgent form and with Ryan Moore booked, any support should not be ignored. A typically competitive Brighton handicap and we like Inch By Inch.
