        Verdict

        Taranis is preferred to Sunset Ridge and Shinko. The Sir Mark Prescott charge has been called a few names in the past but he simply hasn't stayed and in a weak affair, there is every chance that his class could be enough to get him by. Sunset Ridge was greatly flattered by her handicap mark in the early part of the season and today's mark is a bit more realistic. A first glimmer of form was shown here in July but she is looking difficult to win with. Shinko has had many chances and is dropped in trip. Phlaunt has had training troubles and is perhaps less exposed than most. Flying Dancer is on a very long losing run while the form of Flying Visitor's latest outing is much better than the finishing position suggests. Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination but it is difficult to get away from Taranis.
