    Verdict

This won't take much winning and while Anthos and Man Crazy will have their supporters, a chance is taken with Turkish Delight, who comes out of what looked a fair maiden at Leicester. Dave Morris' filly confirmed the promise shown on her debut at Windsor, where she was a close up fourth, despite not having the best of draws, behind a well-regarded filly in the shape of Liberty, who had the benefit of a previous outing. The third Papeete has since given that form a boost by winning her maiden at Newcastle. However, the selection stepped up on that effort next time when filling the same position behind another promising filly in Snow Goose, with Lucayan Beauty just in front of her in third. The latter had previously run subsequent Molecomb winner Majestic Missile to a length-and-a-half at Kempton, so the form looks pretty sound. This represents a drop in class for her and she should make no mistake. Man Crazy has proved wonderfully consistent and deserves to find a race. However, she does have a habit of finding one or two too good for her. Anthos has shaped as though there is a little race in her, but she may have to wait until she steps into nursery company, while Timely Twist showed plenty of pace here last time, but looks to have more on her plate here. Lady Ern is only a plater, while Saccharine, a half-sister to Komlucky and Sounds Lucky, and Magical Mimi, who is out of a mare that won in Norway, will have to be above average if either are to open their account at the first time of asking. So with Tictactoe having shown little in three outings to date, this looks the ideal opening for Turkish Delight to lose her maiden tag.
