In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these hold chances but I Wish has been knocking on the door of late and is selected in preference to Night Frolic and Jazzy Millennium, who will do their bit to make this a stiff test for the selection. Similar comments apply to Oh So Rosie, who is also in good form and will be hard to keep out of the frame if she arrives in the same frame of mind that saw her finish a close second at Lingfield earlier in the month. However, she would not want the ground too soft and others make more appeal on the predicted going. Jazzy Millennium will appreciate the ground, but has so far never won at this trip and may find a few more resilient, while Night Frolic has been very hard to win with lately and is a risky proposition for win only purposes. Therefore, I Wish, who is still on a winning mark, looks the most tempting option at the likely prices. The Beveled mare is readily preferred over stablemate Jahia and, with the ground and trip sure to suit, everything looks to be in place for I Wish to make a bold bid this afternoon.
