This looks a highly competitive handicap in which we like the chances of TRANSFIXED, who sees his penalty all but negated by his jockey's claim, with the consistent James Barrymore looking the danger while Gold Diamond could be value for a place. Often the pick's form has been patchy this season but his staying-on success over this, his preferred trip, was decisive enough to suggest he can go in again especially with his yard adept at turning their charges out in quick succession. James Barrymore was expected to go one better last time but just kept on to finish second best over course and distance. A similar display might be enough this time with a pound removed from his load. Gold Diamond is still a maiden after five starts and hasn't exactly pulled up any tress in two outings in these ranks but could be capable of better.
