In depth

Verdict

Another low-grade handicap but a chance for SONNETINA to put an end to a consistent run of form without a win. She hasn't scored for a couple of years but continues to perform creditably, is a course winner and Mark Crehan, who has made a good impression this term, claims a valuable 5lb. Contingency Fee rarely ventures onto the grass these days but is a course and distance winner from 2019 and performed solidly at Leicester on his penultimate start. Global Style didn't run too badly here last time and his yard has an excellent record at the track and he could well emerge as the leading threat. Course and distance winner Junoesque completes the shortlist.
