In depth

Verdict

Gulf Of Poets is well treated nowadays and won over the trip at Hamilton in June while Reclaim Victory should run his race again but Spiritofthenorth keeps finding one too good. Strawman was a decisive winner at Beverley two weeks ago while Dandy's Angel was only beaten a couple of lengths by DETECTIVE (NAP) here in May and is 12lb better off. But Dianne Sayer’s lightly-raced charge has improved since, winning a further twice over course and distance, and had more in hand than the margin suggested last time. Morrooj is a rare runner here for Roger Varian but Julia Engstrom lacks the experience of the others riders in this.
