        Verdict

        Not too much is known about these on racecourse evidence so a sporting bet on Chris Grant's Farington Lodge is recommended. Trevor Hemmings' gelding looked very backward when making his debut for Jonjo O'Neill behind Royal Rosa at Newbury. That bumper was clearly a decent one as multiple flat-winner Wunderwood finished only a handful of lengths ahead of this distinctly National Hunt bred gelding. At the likely odds on offer, he appears to represent serious each-way consideration. Jonjo O'Neill looks to have a strong team out on Sunday and Diversity has his first start under rules. The market should tell its own tale but it is no surprise to see him tipped us as the paper favourite. Pass Me By was the subject of a monster gamble in a Wetherby bumper last March. He finished just behind Mick Easterby's Moonlit Harbour on that occasion and that rival has gone on to post a brace of victories in Novice company this term. Ela Agori Mou is moderate on the flat but was far from disgraced behind Triplemoon at Redcar last time out. He was well backed when scoring in his bumper under AP McCoy and it is interesting that Don Eddy has sought the services of Tony Dobbin. The market should be watched with regard to Richard Guest's New Zealand bred One Day. Recent winner, Pikestaff needs fast ground and a mark of 82 matches his respective abililty. With three places paid, Farington Lodge has a decent chance of making one of those his own.
