Verdict
Old Jewry's form figures indicate he's something of an 'all or nothing' performer but he kept on well to score over course and distance last time when his trainer could offer no explanation for a much-improved performance. He remains fairly treated off a 3lb higher mark but is clearly a risky proposition and it may be best to look elsewhere, especially with a number of these knocking on the door of late. Ace Ventura stayed on nicely at Warwick latest and is relatively unexposed over timber and the likes of stable companion Fort De L'Ocean and the consistent Shaws Bridge are also noted. However, DONLADD (NAP) has been a somewhat unlucky runner-up the last twice and is taken to go one better with a conditional claiming his full 10lb allowance.
