      Verdict

      VERLUQUA gets his first chance to compete in a handicap having run well in his final start in a maiden last time out and gets the nod ahead of High Resolution and So Bazaar. The selection caught the eye at massive odds at Redcar last time out and the handicapper has failed to take action giving him what looks like a lenient mark on his handicap debut of just 58. Being so well treated he should have a few pounds up his sleeve and with that in mind he is the one horse in the race to stay on the right side of. High Resolution always runs consistently well and rarely finishes out of the first three however he is still winless after fourteen outings and has become frustrating to follow and should be treated with caution. So Bazaar landed a little seller at Ripon in May and has been upped in grade since. He was a little disappointing at Haydock last time out but this does look like an easier task so he should hold each way claims. Verluqua is unexposed and maybe one that can slip through the net.
