Verdict

Harry The Viking won this in 2017 but was well beaten in last year’s renewal while Weststreet ended last season with a double and is 6lb higher on his reappearance. Ballymalin scored at Worcester last month but stablemate Scotchtown has yet to win over fences though went close at Sandown in February. BAFANA BLUE has a good strike rate over fences and won again on his return to action when successful over course and distance. There looks more to come from Maurice Barnes’ charge and he’s taken to defy a 5lb rise. Lough Derg Farmer will be sharper for a recent outing and is preferred to Old Salt of the remainder.
