Verdict
Another less than inspiring contest and although officially a 0-60, it is really a 0-50 with Thorntoun Gold having the dubious honour of the highest rating, and we can all look forward to plenty more of these desperate affairs with the introduction of regional racing. Thorntoun Gold is actually 1lb lower than when last successful, over a year ago at Windsor and must enter calculations, but preference is for Ellway Heights, who escapes a penalty for winning an apprentice race at Hamilton on Monday. He can actually run off a 3lbs lower mark in this as his rider put up 3lbs overweight there, which gives him the look of something of a good thing. Righty Ho has been running well enough in sellers and as this is a seller in all but name, must go well, while it would be no surprise to see Major Attraction playing a leading role in this, but there is no getting away from Ellway Heights, who is thrown in.
