This would be one of the most competitive contest on tonight’s card. Ghayyar has been racing over a bit further but won off a higher mark last year. Tim Easterby also runs Bollin Ted but he has little in hand on Ideal Candy on Beverley running, though Karen Tutty’s charge is another who may find this trip on the short side. Indomeneo’s victory at Haydock came over 1m2f so he goes on the short-list but Anif only won a Redcar claimer last month. KANNAPOLIS was only headed in the closing stages at Ripon four weeks ago. He’s been raised 2lb for that but Joanna Mason’s mount gets the nod ahead of The Navigator, who has not won here in five previous visits. Serena Brotherton rides Edgar Allan Poe so the top weight can’t be ignored.
