Verdict
A competitive maiden gets proceedings under way and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected of the newcomers. But with the Mark Johnson yard back inn top form we will take a chance on Always Flying who is a half brother to the fairly useful sprinter Heathyards Lady. He is sure to know the job and with Kevin Darley taking the ride he will be hard to beat. Fun And Games may be the main danger she is a half sister to a group 1 winner in Rosefinch and her stable is in form but she is bred to do better over a much longer trip. Jerome showed enough on his debut when beaten four and a half lengths by Mirasol Princess. He is sure to have improved for the experience and could easily take a hand in the finish. Cotton Eyed Joe is another from a yard that is doing well with it's two year olds and is worth a cautionary look in the market. Of the remainder Miss Lyvennet has shown a modicum of ability on both starts but has been done no favour by the draw.
