Vinny Gambini won't mind the conditions but he was well beaten on his only start over the trip at Newcastle. Longueville Flier landed a handicap at Wetherby on soft ground in November but ran very poorly on a return visit in testing conditions last month. Jonny Eager, a winning point-to-pointer and hurdler, makes his debut over regulation fences after a decent run over timber at Wetherby and his pedigree is all about chasing. The Bishop has also won between the flags though his form under Rules has been disappointing so this can go to SPRING OVER. Ian Duncan's mare, a winner over hurdles last January, was having her first start since the following month when fourth at Musselburgh on New Year's Day where she would have finished closer but for a bad mistake in the latter stages.
