Verdict

Champagne Court has struggled since winning over hurdles at Lingfield in November though is still weighted to beat Hill Sixteen. The latter found a higher rated hurdler too good at Sedgefield last time but should have the measure of The Big Galloper. Lily's Gem has won a bumper here and goes hurdling for the first time along with point-to-point third Murphy's Law and also VIS A VIS. A decent handicapper on the Flat, the latter has been gelded since finishing a creditable fourth in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket in October and Richard Johnson’s presence suggests he can go close on his hurdling debut.
