Verdict

Both Petite Ganache and Wig Wam Wiggle scored over 2m6f at Newcastle on their respective latest starts. The latter has been raised 9lb for winning an amateurs’ race and the former is preferred while Champagne Chaser finished in front of Misfits when third at Newcastle last month. Turtle Cask went close at Hexham on his penultimate outing but SAUVIGNON is only 3lb higher than when scoring in soft ground at Worcester last year and Richard Johnson stays loyal having finished fourth on the selection at Uttoxeter in December.
