Verdict
The shortlist of Sotovik and Jeringa picks itself here, with the vote going to Sotovik. The selection made a good impression in scoring here on his debut in what was a much better race than this, and he looks to hold solid claims here. Jeringa has performed well in winning at Sedgefield and then finishing fourth under a penalty at Catterick. That too was a stronger overall race than this and he should make a good race of things. Of the others, Len Lungo's horses always have to be respected at this level, so Solway Bob, whose dam is half-sister to Docklands Express, should be noted in the betting. In truth it is hard to fancy any of the others, although there is some speed in Crackington's pedigree. Once again, then, the vote goes to Sotovik.
